Roudaina Fardon is an impressionist style artist creating from within the Middle East. Growing up in Beirut, Lebanon, all of her creations attempt to find roots in the same foundation she does. After completing her undergraduate studies in fine arts in Beirut, she immigrated to California, USA, wherein she pursued a graduate-level art education.
From her earliest childhood recollections, a deep fascination with colors sparked the start of her journey. Her infatuation with the landscapes that served as a background for daily life inspired her to pursue her ability to manipulate and capture colors. As a result, her collections are often characterized by their unique play on contrast, complemented by unique perspectives to provoke a 'double-take.' Rarely restricting herself in the pursuit of the subject, she constantly seeks to focus her work on concepts and inspirations from her own life. Each work serves as a page in the auto-biographical story her body of work expresses.
Her most intimate memories and cherished moments are expressed through unconventional perspectives and unique compositions. Her most recent work focuses directly on her home region's rich history, employing a surrealist approach to portraits of travelers and eye-catching mosaic-style renditions of the world's most modern cities. Underlying her collections are themes aimed to bring her audience together, with color play invoking a sense of perspective unique to each individual in works we can all relate to.
